Powertecnique secures service contract with NHS South Wales

Powertecnique secures service contract with NHS South Wales 13/12/2016 16:36:00

Critical back up solutions provider, Powertecnique, has recently been awarded a fully comprehensive maintenance contract to support numerous UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) & IPS (Isolated Power Supply) systems located at NHS trusts across South Wales.

NHS trusts and Hospitals require a constant supply of clean power to support lifesaving machines without any disruptions.

The purpose of a UPS is to provide no-break uninterrupted power source under all conditions. Our innovative UPS solutions offer reliability, efficiency, scalability and flexibility – using less energy, reducing operating costs and in turn achieving significant total cost of ownership savings.

An isolation power system provides an ungrounded electrical service for various applications within a hospital or a medical office building. Isolation Power Systems (IPS) remains in operation in the event of a single line-to-ground fault situation. These systems also eliminate the danger of an electric shock to patients. IPS ensures that life support machines, scanners, neonatal intensive care units (NICU), operating theatres etc. remain online in the event of a power outage. Consequently the IPS units are supported by an on-line UPS System

With extensive experience supporting NHS Trusts around the country, Powertecnique has established a reputation of a trusted critical back up and service provider. Our industry leading service and maintenance plans along with nationwide coverage provide reassurance that critical UPS and IPS equipment is always operational. As a current service provider to other areas of the trust and having demonstrated our ability to offer unrivalled support over a number of years, it made perfect sense for the trust to award the contract to Powertecnique.
